Another founder, who had tragically lost both of his parents, struggled to cope with the immense void left in their wake. He turned to substances in an attempt to numb the pain, spiraling into addiction that nearly cost him his life. A third founder, a nurse with a background in Western medicine, experienced a health crisis when his thyroid failed. Dissatisfied with the conventional treatments available, he turned to Traditional Chinese Medicine, exploring herbal remedies and holistic practices.
Those were turning points— wake-up calls that changed everything. Collectively we made a promise.
